About the Author

Linmer Perolino is a Filipino Clinical Laboratory Scientist, mentor, and storyteller who has built his life around faith, family, and service. Born and raised in the Philippines, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from Southwestern University in Cebu City and went on to build a career that has taken him from the Philippines to Saudi Arabia and eventually to the United States.

In 2013, Linmer moved with his family to Arizona, USA. In 2020, he accepted an opportunity at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, one of the most respected medical institutions in the United States. After gaining that experience, he chose to return to Arizona to remain close to his family and continue serving the community he considers home.

Beyond his clinical role, Linmer is passionate about teaching, building, and representing the people who rarely get seen — the lab professionals, the night-shift workers, the quiet providers who carry pressure without applause. He is known for his high standards, his calm under pressure, and his belief that excellence and compassion must go together.

He is also the voice behind PinoyMT, a platform built for healthcare workers (especially Filipino and immigrant healthcare workers) who are working, providing, and trying to build something better for their families. Through PinoyMT, he writes about real lab life, work culture, growth, faith, money, and the hard parts nobody talks about out loud.

Outside of work, Linmer is a husband and a father. He is a believer. He is actively involved in helping and encouraging others — whether that’s guiding younger professionals in the lab, giving honest career perspective to overseas workers, or sharing what he’s learned about stability, opportunity, and building a future with intention.

In simple terms: he has lived what he writes.
